Self adhesive vinyl starts with three layers: a printable PVC face film, a pressure-sensitive adhesive and a silicone-coated release liner. Peel the liner and the exposed side sticks where you put it. Jin Yu supplies the full grade ladder - monomeric for promotions that run a season, polymeric for shop signs and flat vehicle panels, cast for full wraps and curved surfaces - in roll widths from 0.914 m to 1.6 m.
Printing is where these rolls earn their keep. Every printable grade carries a coating tuned for solvent, eco-solvent, UV and latex inks and runs cleanly on Roland, Mimaki, Mutoh and HP Latex machines. For decal and sticker work, the same rolls feed plotting cutters - Roland, Graphtec, and desktop cutters like Cricut and Silhouette - without lifting or tearing.
Where the film goes matters as much as the grade. Outdoor signage and vehicle graphics need polymeric or cast; wall and floor decals get by happily on monomeric. If the old graphic underneath is dark, or the panel is double-sided, pick a greyback or blockout grade - its opaque middle layer keeps whatever is behind from ghosting through.
Outdoor life follows the grade, so quote real numbers: monomeric holds 1-3 years outside, polymeric 3-7, cast up to 10 with proper lamination. What separates polymeric from monomeric is the plasticiser: long-chain molecules stay in the film instead of migrating out, which is why polymeric resists the shrinkage and edge lifting that show up on curved panels after a hot summer.
