Lamination film is the protective top layer that determines how long a printed graphic survives. Jin Yu supplies cold lamination film, thermal lamination film and 3D textured film in gloss, matte and satin finishes, for everything from vehicle wraps and floor graphics to indoor posters and roll-up banners.

Cold lamination uses pressure-sensitive adhesive and runs on a cold laminator - the safe choice for inkjet prints, because no heat reaches the ink layer. Thermal lamination uses heat-activated adhesive and suits higher-volume, flat indoor work. Our 3D film adds a textured surface that catches light and resists scuffing.

All grades carry UV inhibitors that slow colour fade and protect against abrasion, moisture and cleaning chemicals. They are compatible with solvent, eco-solvent, UV and latex prints. Custom widths, roll lengths and private-label OEM are available, with free samples to test on your own output.

Should I use cold or thermal lamination film?
Cold lamination is the safe default for large-format inkjet prints because it applies with pressure only, so no heat reaches the ink. Thermal lamination gives a stronger bond and lower material cost but requires heat-resistant media and flat substrates - it is common for indoor posters and documents.
Gloss, matte or satin - which finish should I choose?
Gloss deepens colour and suits retail and photographic graphics. Matte kills reflection and is preferred where the graphic sits under strong lighting or behind glass. Satin sits between the two and hides handling marks better than gloss.
How much does lamination extend the life of a print?
A matched laminate typically doubles or triples outdoor life by blocking UV and resisting abrasion - for example, taking an unlaminated print from around one year to three to five years outdoors, depending on ink and exposure.
Will lamination film work with my printer's ink?
Our films are compatible with solvent, eco-solvent, UV and latex prints. We recommend a free sample roll so you can test adhesion and outgassing on your own printer and media combination before committing to a bulk order.
