ink

Ink determines colour gamut, drying behaviour and how long a print survives outdoors. Jin Yu supplies UV curable ink and mild eco-solvent ink formulated for the large-format printers that dominate the sign industry - Epson, Roland, Mimaki, Mutoh and Ricoh.

UV ink cures instantly under LED or mercury lamps, producing a hard, scratch-resistant film that adheres to rigid substrates such as acrylic, PVC board, aluminium composite and glass, as well as roll media. Mild eco-solvent ink has low odour and no hazardous air pollutant listing, needs no special ventilation in most shops, and remains the mainstream choice for banners, vehicle graphics and self-adhesive vinyl.

Both are filtered to sub-micron levels to protect print heads, and are colour-matched to OEM profiles for stable, repeatable output. Bulk containers, cartridge and bottle formats, and private-label OEM are available from our Foshan factory, with free samples for head-compatibility testing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers specific to this product category.

UV ink or eco-solvent ink - which do I need?
UV ink suits rigid substrates (acrylic, PVC board, ACP, glass) and jobs needing instant curing and high scratch resistance. Eco-solvent suits flexible roll media - banners, self-adhesive vinyl, vehicle wrap - and costs less upfront. If you print both, you likely need both.
Which printers are your inks compatible with?
Our UV ink is formulated for Epson, Roland, Mimaki, Mutoh and Ricoh UV flatbed and roll-to-roll printers. Mild eco-solvent ink is developed for Roland, Mimaki and Mutoh wide-format printers. Tell us your exact model and we will confirm the match.
Will using third-party ink damage my print heads?
Our inks are filtered to sub-micron particle levels and formulated to match the viscosity and surface tension of OEM inks, so they run safely in compatible printers. We recommend a sample test on your own machine before switching a full fleet.
What is the shelf life and how should ink be stored?
Sealed and stored at 15-25C away from direct sunlight, shelf life is typically 12 months from manufacture. UV ink must be kept away from any UV source. Each batch is dated, and we recommend rotating stock oldest first.
